Fly Fishing
It’s more than a hobby…
I took up fly fishing last year when a buddy convinced me to grab a fly rod and give it a shot. After three unsuccessful trips with no bites, I was losing hope until that magical first tug. That moment got me "hooked" (pun intended!), and from there, I fell head over heels for the sport. Naturally, I wanted to capture and share the excitement through content creation. Check out some examples of my fly fishing adventures below!
Montana
In August 2023, my buddies and I hit the road for a four-day fishing trip to Montana. The first leg was a marathon drive, 14 hours from Portland to Helena. Long ride, but those views? Unreal.
Next day, we linked up with the Trxstle and Adipose Boat Works crew. They took us to a sweet spot on the Missouri River, where we dropped two Adipose boats and floated for a whopping 14 miles. That's where it happened – I snagged my first brown trout, and man, you could say I was over the moon.
Day three, we rolled down to Ennis, Montana, setting up shop for the next couple of nights. The Maddison River was our playground. We fished all over, reeling in more catches than we could count. And, get this, we spotted two bull moose just chilling right in front of us. Nature and fishing were putting on a show, and each catch and wildlife moment felt like a page-turner in the adventure that was our Montana trip.
Creative Explorations
Teaming up with my buddy Andrew Krantz, I jumped into creating content for different brands. Andrew had been working with these companies, and he asked me to join the fun. While at it, I focused on showcasing the products with an eye for the little details. It was a cool collaboration that let me play around with creativity and highlight what makes each brand unique.
